A man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a pedestrian was fatally struck by a car.

The victim, a man in his 70s, died shortly after the crash on Highters Heath Lane in King's Heath, Birmingham, at about 19:30 GMT on 4 November last year.

Tyrone Clarke, 50, from Evesham has also been charged with causing his death by driving a vehicle while uninsured, and theft of a motor vehicle.

West Midlands Police has said its investigation is ongoing and has urged anyone with information to contact officers.
