Visitors banned from house over drugs and noise

York City Council was granted a partial premises closure order by York Magistrates' Court, which allows only the tenant of the house, on Leicester Way, to be in the property.
It followed reports from neighbours claiming there had been arguments at the apartment and an "endless succession of visitors".
The order, which was imposed on 22 January, would last for three months and anyone found at the address would be committing a criminal offence, according to the council.
Michael Pavlovic, executive member for housing at the council, said: "Anti-social behaviour (ASB) has a significant impact on the safety and well-being of our tenants, who tell us it's one of their top priorities.
"To ensure we serve them as well as possible, we're updating our ASB policy.
"In addition to the distress caused by illegal and disruptive activity, we are proposing to address domestic abuse and hate crime as well to further stem the nuisance."
Sgt Charlotte Gregory, from North Yorkshire Police, said closure orders were only sought when "absolutely necessary".
"I hope this further acts as a deterrent for anyone considering being involved in such criminality," she added.
"If you're experiencing similar problems or are experiencing any behaviour that causes you distress or has a negative impact on the local community, please report it to the police."
