Two of three paramedics hurt in Friday night's crash on Eardswick Lane, Crewe, are still being treated for their injuries.

An ambulance service has praised the "incredible clinical care" at a hospital after three of its paramedics were injured in a crash in Cheshire.

Their ambulance was responding to a 999 call when the single-vehicle crash occurred on Eardswick Lane in Crewe, at about 20:30 GMT on Friday 28 November.

North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) said two colleagues who suffered serious injuries remained in Royal Stoke hospital receiving treatment, while the third had been discharged.

The service said it was supporting the paramedics' families and co-workers, and also thanked well-wishers for their message of support.

There was no patient on board at the time of the crash.

Cheshire Police is appealing for witnesses and video footage of the incident, as investigators work to understand what happened.
