Vehicles seized in city fly-tipping crackdown

Vehicles have been seized in Bradford as part of an investigation into fly-tipping in the city.

The council said its environmental enforcement team, alongside West Yorkshire Police officers, located the van and a car in the Bolton and Undercliffe area of the city on Thursday.

Bradford Council said the vehicles were involved in separate fly-tipping offences across Little Horton, Bowling and Barkerend, and Idle and Thackley.

"A full investigation will now be undertaken to gather further evidence and progress appropriate legal action against those responsible," a council spokesperson said.

Sarah Ferriby, Bradford Council's portfolio holder for healthy people and places, said the authority was working to maintain a "clean and attractive environment".

"We are fully committed to tackling the illegal dumping of waste and will seize any vehicle involved in fly-tipping offences," she said.

"If you are engaging in this behaviour, we will find you and we will take action."
