Officers detained the 17-year-old on Tuesday as part of investigations into the incident in the Victoria Square area on Sunday afternoon.

The teenager has been charged with affray and threats with a blade and is due to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "Tackling issues around violent crime and carrying weapons is a priority across Wolverhampton and we are working hard to identify anyone involved as part of Operation Redfox."
