Powerboat riders seek thrills despite wet weather

John Heald PhotographyMultiple records were broken at a powerboat event last week despite a delayed start due to wet and windy weather.
The 53rd annual powerboat record week at Coniston Water, which was due to begin on Monday last week, was delayed due to the weather and did not start until Thursday.
The famed lake is where Donald Campbell died while trying to break the world water speed record in 1967.
Last week Paul Hart, from Hertford, increased the British national speed record in the Formula 500 up to 500cc class. Here are some photos from the week's events.
