Man charged with serious sexual offences

A 58-year-old man has been charged with sexual offences as part of investigations into non-recent child sexual exploitation and abuse in Kirklees.

Kulvinder Sandoo Singh, from Leeds, was due to appear before Kirklees Magistrates' Court on 18 March, according to West Yorkshire Police.

He had been charged with two offences of rape, one offence of buggery, three offences of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and one offence of false imprisonment.

They were all alleged to have taken place against one teenage girl between November 1988 and November 1992, a force spokesperson said.
