A road in a town centre was closed in both directions near a junction following a collision.

Cambridgeshire Police reported it was dealing with the crash on Churchill Road at the junction with Norwich Road in Wisbech at about 18:00 GMT on Friday.

Residents and other road users were urged to avoid the area.

The force and East of England Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.

Photos taken by witnesses at the scene show a heavy emergency service presence in the area.
