Investigators at the scene of a suspected arson attack in Wendover Road, Wolverhampton

A fire which broke out at house in Wolverhampton is being treated as arson.

The fire started at the property in Wendover Road shortly before 21:50 GMT on Saturday, West Midlands Police said. Damage was caused but no-one was injured and at this stage it was being treated as deliberate.

West Midlands Fire Service said no-one had been in at the time of the fire but there was fire damage to a ground-floor room and all of the semi-detached property was affected by smoke.

Four fire crews were sent to the scene and investigators were looking into how it started, the service said.
