A woman has died following a four-vehicle crash on the M6 motorway in Warwickshire.

The woman, in her 60s, was driving southbound in a black Ford transit van which ended up crashing into the central reservation between junctions 4 and 3 just after Corley Services, Warwickshire Police said.

An articulated HGV, a silver BMW and a black Vauxhall Mokka were also involved in the crash which happened at about 10:30 GMT on 10 December.

The woman, who was taken to hospital, had since died from her injuries, the force confirmed on Monday.

Police issued an appeal for anyone who witnessed the crash, or saw the vehicles and how they were being driven, to get in touch.

Investigating officers have also urged anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
