Stretch of A66 among roads closed for resurfacing
BBCDrivers are being warned that some roads including a stretch of the A66 will be closed for resurfacing work.
The work in Middlesbrough will see evening and overnight closures put in place from this week.
The council said the work would make roads across the town safer.
Diversion routes will be in place and drivers have been asked to remove parked cars from affected areas.
Snowdon Road in Middlehaven will be closed between Bridge Street West and the junctions at Washington Street and Brougham Street between 19:00 GMT and 00:00.
Work will also be carried out on a second section between the West Street junction and the roundabout with Depot Road and Vulcan Street on Thursday during the same time.
On Friday, the road which runs between the Rainbow Leisure Centre and B&M at Coulby Newham will shut between 19:00 and midnight.
Eastbound A66 closure
A scheme is also under way to resurface the A66 through Middlesbrough town centre.
The eastbound carriageway between the Newport roundabout and the slip road for the Odeon cinema will close from 19:30 and 06:00 for five nights from 2 February.
Work will then begin on a second section of the eastbound carriageway between the Riverside Stadium and the through-about at Cargo Fleet Lane for three nights from 9 February between 19:30 and 06:00.
The Greenway, in Thorntree, between College Road and the junction with Rainsford Crescent will be closed on 13 February, before Westerby Road will shut on 16 February.
Both closures will last one night between 19:00 and 00:00.
