A man has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving after a car crashed into a building in Stoke-on-Trent.

The crash happened on Scotia Road, Tunstall, at about 06:00 BST on Sunday 20 July 2025, with a passenger inside the vehicle hurt.

The accused Daniel Mohammed is also charged with using a motor vehicle on a road or public place without third party insurance, using a handheld mobile phone while driving a motor vehicle, and failing to provide a specimen for analysis.

The 21-year-old from Cobridge in the city is set to appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on 12 February.
