Two police officers seriously injured in crash
BBCThree people, including two police officers, have been seriously injured following a collision.
Devon & Cornwall Police said a section of the A30, between Roseworthy and Marsh Lane, in west Cornwall was closed overnight after the serious collision involving a police car and two other vehicles.
Police said emergency services were called to the St Erth roundabout, near Hayle, following the crash on the A30 at about 20:00 GMT on Sunday.
On Monday, police said: "A number of people were treated by ambulance services and three men, including two police officers, were conveyed to hospital with serious injuries."
A spokesperson for South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust said it sent three double-crewed land ambulances, an operations officer and two critical care cars to the scene.
Three patients were then conveyed to Treliske Hospital, they added.
The road between St Erth roundabout and the Hayle bypass reopened at about 06:30 GMT after investigation work and recovery.
Due to the incident involving a police vehicle, a mandatory referral has been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
Anyone who saw the incident or who may have dashcam footage from around the time of the crash has been asked to contact police.
