Wayne Reid was found dead at an address in Society Court in Coleraine

A 33-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Wayne Reid in Coleraine, County Londonderry.

He is due to appear before Coleraine Magistrates' Court on Monday.

The body of the 43-year-old victim was found at a house in Society Court in the town on 12 January.

Five other people – a 30-year-old man and four women aged 19, 38, 39 and 45 - are still being questioned in connection with Mr Reid's murder.

The 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder on Sunday.

Earlier on Sunday, detectives were granted a court extension to continue questioning three people for an additional 36 hours.

One of them, a woman aged 39 remains in custody on suspicion of murder.

The other two - a 33-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man have been released on bail to allow for further enquiries.

A 28-year-old woman, who was arrested on Friday, has also been released on bail pending further enquiries.
