A man has been jailed after a 17 year-old girl died when a car crashed into a tree in Shropshire.

Madison Evans, a passenger in the vehicle, was found in a critical condition and died at the crash scene on the B4376 near Much Wenlock in Shropshire in November 2024.

Sean Cox, 21, of Severn Way, Shrewsbury, initially denied causing death by dangerous driving, but pleaded guilty before his trial in October 2025.

He was handed a five year jail sentence at Shrewsbury Crown Court on Monday.
