Water main repairs on major road in Hull postponed
BBCWork to fix a burst water pipe on a major road in Hull has been postponed.
Repairs to the damaged main on Rawling Way were due to start on Monday.
Yorkshire Water said the work had been put back "due to circumstances beyond our control".
The company said the work would be "rescheduled following conversations with Hull Council Highways and other factors outside of the Rawling Way closure".
The road was shut in April 2023 after the water pipe burst, causing "significant damage to the underlying concrete road structure below the tarmac surface layers", Yorkshire Water said.
It was fixed and the road was reopened, but the main was due to undergo permanent repairs that were scheduled to last a week.
A new date for the work has yet to be confirmed
Yorkshire Water said: "We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause."
