A motorcyclist has sustained potentially life-changing injuries following a crash in Devon, police have said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the incident happened at about 17:25 GMT on Saturday in Silver Street, Honiton, when a red Suzuki motorbike crashed into properties which bordered the road.

The force said the rider, a man in his 40s, was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital to be treated for his injuries.

A road closure was in place while initial investigations were conducted and anyone with information or dash cam footage of the incident has been asked to contact police.
