A man riding an electric bike has been seriously injured in a collision with a car, police have said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said a white Volkswagen Golf and an e-bike collided at the junction between Porth Way and Well Way in Newquay at about 18:30 GMT on Friday.

They said the bike rider, a man in his 20s from the Newquay area, had sustained serious injuries and had been taken to hospital.

The police asked anyone with information or dashcam footage related to the incident to come forward.
