Special needs parents promised say on services
Getty ImagesParents, guardians and carers across Wolverhampton are going to get the chance to have their say on how services for children and people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) should be provided.
The city council said it would be launching SEND Wolves Parent Voice, a new forum which would be run by family members.
The group would be able give their views to local organisations which deliver the services, such as NHS trusts, the council and schools, a spokesperson for the authority added.
The forum replaces Voice4Parents, which closed in 2025 and will be officially launched at Molineux Stadium on 27 February.
Councillor Jacqui Coogan said it was vital for a strong parent carer forum to represent the views of SEND children and young people.
"The SEND Local Area Partnership is looking forward to working closely with SEND Wolves Parent Voice to help shape the best possible services for every child and young person in our city who has additional needs," she said.
