A man who stabbed a member of the public in the street multiple times has been jailed for three years, police said.

Ryan Bradley stabbed his victim as he got out of a taxi in the Hexthorpe area of Doncaster in August 2025.

Officers from South Yorkshire Police found him hiding under a van shortly after they received a 999 call.

Bradley, 34, of Mortimer Road in Maltby, pleaded guilty to wounding with intent at Sheffield Crown Court. He was sentenced at the same court on Monday.

The victim's injuries were not life-threatening and he was treated in hospital for two cuts to the arm and two to the shoulder, officers said.

Det Con James Lockey said the violence displayed by Bradley was "completely unacceptable".

"If you are carrying a knife or use a knife to harm others, then please stop and think about what you're doing and the devastation you could cause," he said.
