Police hunt 'armed robber' who stole cash from bank
Essex PolicePolice are hunting a man suspected of using a handgun to rob money from a bank.
Staff at Halifax in Braintree, Essex, were reportedly threatened at gunpoint at 08:55 GMT on 2 January.
Officers believe the robber then left the town centre via Market Street before going down St Michaels Lane, Notley Road, and then entering John Ray Park.
They have appealed for anyone with CCTV that captured a man on a bike in those areas to contact them.
Essex Police has not disclosed how much money was stolen from the bank in Great Square.
It has released images of a man detectives wanted to speak to in connection with the incident.
Det Insp Frazer Low said: "I appreciate this image does not clearly show the man's face, but I believe someone will have seen him.
"Since the incident, we have explored a number of lines of investigation and continue to make a series of inquiries."
