A man has died after a car crashed into a tree near Boston, police have said.

Lincolnshire Police said the incident happened just before 13:00 GMT on Sunday on Hale Lane heading towards Frithville, at the B1183 junction between Trader Bank and Staunt Road.

The driver of a grey BYD Seal, aged 28, who was the sole occupant of the car, died at the scene, the force added.

Officers are appealing for witnesses and any dashcam footage that may have captured the moments before the crash took place.
