A burst water main has flooded part of a Warwickshire housing estate, causing water supply problems over a wider area.

Severn Trent Water said it was working to fix the issues on Wisteria Way in Nuneaton and hoped to have the leak under control by Thursday afternoon.

It said people in Bedworth and Nuneaton might be affected by a lack of water, poor pressure or discoloured water.

Part of Wysteria Way had to be fenced off and was closed to traffic as water coursed down the road.

It appears, however, that no homes have been blighted by the flooding.

Initial estimates from Severn Trent suggested the water main could be repaired by 14:00 GMT.
