Rebound Trampoline Park, on Stockholm Road in Hull, is due to close on 25 January

A trampoline park in Hull is closing due to rising costs and a drop in visitor numbers.

Rebound Trampoline Park, on Stockholm Road, said it would permanently close on 25 January.

The business said anyone who had a party or event booked with them will be contacted via email.

Centre manager Ben Wilkinson said: "It is a massive shame, it has become a massive part of the community."

Wilkinson said the cost of living, along with the rise in minimum wage, had contributed to the venue's financial struggles.

"It's just taken us to the point where it's no longer maintainable," he added.

'Very sorry'

For the trampoline park to meet health and safety requirements, a certain number of staff needs to be present.

He said reducing staff was "one thing we won't ever do to cut costs per health and safety".

Over 10 years, the business said it had only increased session prices by a total of £1 and had operated on reduced party and event prices since 2020, after it decreased prices to help get people out of the house after the Covid-19 pandemic.

Wilkinson said the trampoline park had been a great way for children to exercise and make new friends.

He added that he was "very sorry" that the work they had just started with local special educational needs charities could no longer continue due to the park's closure.

He said: "It's been an amazing 10 years. We just want to put out a big thanks to the community that has supported us and the team around us."
