A 21-year-old man has appeared before Inverness Sheriff Court charged with murder.

Emergency services were called to the city's Balloan Road on Friday morning after three men were reported injured.

Lyall Wallace, from Inverness, is accused of repeatedly striking Arturs Juskins on the neck and body with a knife and murdering him.

He made no plea, was committed for further examination and remanded in custody by Sheriff David Harvie.

Another man is due to appear later this week in connection with the same incident.
