A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the body of a man was found.

Police were called by the ambulance service to the sudden death of a man in his 70s in Brook Street in Raunds, Northamptonshire, at about 15:40 BST on Wednesday.

A 38-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.

Northamptonshire Police has appealed for anyone with information to get in touch.

The force said additional patrols were taking place in the Raunds area to offer reassurance to the community.
