A man has been arrested after another man was reportedly attacked and left injured by several people in possession of a handgun.

Armed officers were deployed to Pembroke Street in Bradford at about 19:30 GMT on Monday where a man was found with minor injuries, according to West Yorkshire Police.

Officers were also sent to two addresses in West Bowling and a 66-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and assault, a force spokesperson said.

The man who was arrested remained in custody and cordons were still in place at all three locations on Tuesday as officers continued their inquiries.

Neighbourhood patrols were in the area to provide reassurance to local residents, the spokesperson added.
