Essex Police wants to hear from any witnesses who spotted a woman being shoved off her bike before being further assaulted in Burnham-on-Crouch High Street

Police have appealed for any witnesses to an attack in which a woman allegedly pushed a cyclist off her bike before hitting her and throwing a drink over her.

The assault was said to have taken place in Burnham-on-Crouch's High Street at 00:25 BST on Saturday 6 September.

Essex Police said it wanted anyone who saw the incident or who had information to come forward.

The force described the suspect as white, about 20 years old, of slim build, with dark shoulder-length hair, and wearing a short-sleeved red top with blue jeans.
