The plans would see the butchers turned into one-bedroom accommodation

Plans have been submitted to convert a butcher's shop in Berwickshire into a holiday let.

Scottish Borders Council (SBC) is considering a planning application for the change of use of the former Peter Walker's site on Bridge Street in Coldingham.

If approved the property - part of a traditional stone-built row in a conservation area - would become one-bedroom accommodation available to let.

A report with the application said: "The proposed conversion preserves the character of the conservation area, supports tourism, and complies with SBC planning policy."
