Warning as major junction to be closed four times
GoogleDrivers are being warned they could be affected by upcoming closures of a busy junction.
The junction of Park Lane, Malmesbury Road, Langley Road and Foundry Lane will be closed four times over the next month so Wessex Water can carry out works at two supply mains in Chippenham, Wiltshire. A company spokesperson apologised for any inconvenience and said water would be able to be used as normal during the works.
"This is an important project to make a cross-connection between two supply mains and boost water pressure in this area of Chippenham," they added.
The junction will be closed overnight on four successive Sundays starting on 11 January, between 16:00 and 06:00 GMT.
Wessex Water said the work had been organised to cause the least amount of disruption possible and added it would be writing to customers and businesses which could be affected, as well as local councillors.
Access will be maintained for all businesses and residents on Foundry Lane, but Wessex Water said all other access into Foundry Lane would need to be through Union Road, exiting the normal route via New Road (A420).
