Driver in 80s killed in Christmas Eve crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorist in his 80s died in a crash on a major route on Christmas Eve.

Northamptonshire Police said the single vehicle collision happened between 10:00 and 10:45 GMT on the A43 between Rockingham Road and the A14 southbound in Kettering, Northamptonshire.

The driver, who was travelling in a brown Honda CRV, died at the scene.

The force said it wanted to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage.
