Woman charged with attempted murder of teen

A woman has been charged with attempted murder, after a teenage boy's medication was reportedly contaminated, police have said.

Staffordshire Police said they were called to an address in the Lichfield area on Sunday.

Emma Williams, 40, from Erdington in Birmingham, has been remanded in custody following a hearing at Birmingham Magistrates' Court.

She is due at Birmingham Crown Court on 10 February.
