Tributes paid to adventurous railway cat Nala
The Adventures of NalaTributes have been paid to an adventurous cat who made a railway station her second home.
Nala, a six-year-old ginger cat, was well-known among commuters in Stevenage as she was often found perched at the ticket gate in the town's station.
Natasha Ambler, the cat's owner, set up a Facebook page called The Adventures of Nala, which grew to have 25,000 followers.
Ms Ambler said she was "devastated" over Nala's death and that she had "lost a member of the family".
Ms Ambler added Nala was "more than a pet" and since posting about her passing she had been "bombarded" with messages, which proved how loved Nala was.
On Facebook, Ms Ambler said: "It's with heavy hearts that we share the sad news that our beloved Nala has passed away.
"She was so much more than a pet to us, she was a cherished member of our family, and we're grateful for every moment we got to share with her.
"We also feel incredibly thankful that Nala became a part of the wider community too. She loved every bit of the attention, affection, and smiles she brought to so many people."
The Adventures of NalaMs Ambler added Nala would be "deeply missed by many".
Two years ago Nala released a Christmas single called Meow, with its music video filmed in Stevenage Station.
As Nala loved to roam and would often go exploring in the neighbourhood, she was fitted with a GPS tracking device and had a collar with her name and details on.
