Victims robbed after arranging dates in park
Getty ImagesPolice are investigating after a person using dating apps lured five victims to a park for meet-ups before robbing them.
The incidents took place in Bradford, though West Yorkshire Police have not named the park where the robberies of "personal items" took place.
There have been five reports since October involving arrangements to meet the suspect over social media sites.
Det Insp Mike Ineson said: "We have issued this warning as a proactive measure to warn and educate people about the risks of meeting people online."
He added: "I would like to praise the bravery of the victims who have reported these incidents to us.
"We are taking these offences seriously and our carrying out a number of lines of enquiry."
He encouraged any further victims who had not reported the crime to police to come forward.
