A former Catholic priest who was previously jailed for sexually abusing a child in Jersey has been granted a re-trial after successfully appealing his conviction.

In April 2025, Jersey's Royal Court found Piotr Antoni Glas guilty of three counts of gross indecency with a child.

The alleged offences were committed between 2004 and 2007 when he was a priest in the island.

He was jailed for five years in June 2025 and also put on the sex offenders list for 10 years.
