The final day of the Big Weekend made sure the festival was the biggest thing to happen to Middlesbrough since the Parmo (look it up). Idris Elba introduced Sean Paul by phone. Little Mix teased their new single. The 1975’s Matty Healy told the crowd: “We're too self-aware as a generation to buy into the archetypes of rock n' roll, because we're all too clever.”
