Russian number one Myskina has reached the world's top ten after winning two titles this season and making the quarter-finals of a Grand Slam for the first time at the Australian Open.
Her third career title came in Doha in February where she defeated compatriot Elena Likhovtseva in the first ever all-Russian final.
But Myskina, who says she is happy playing on any surface, has an ugly French Open record.
In three visits, she is yet to win a match - and last year, seeded 19th, she was upset by a qualifier.
With a tidy game, and a neat touch at the net, Myskina will be keen to get off the mark this year.
