Hantuchova's rise to become one of the world's best players has been phenomenal.
Virtually unknown at the beginning of last season, the tall Slovakian stunned Martina Hingis in the final of the prestigious Indian Wells even to win her first title.
She followed that by reaching the quarter-finals of Wimbledon and the US Open, picking up an army of fans along the way.
Coached by Britain's Nigel Sears, Hantuchova's game is suited to all surfaces and she has already reached the fourth round at Roland Garros.
But her season so far has has been disappointing, particularly on clay.
She started inauspiciously with a quarter-final defeat to qualifier Ashley Harkleroad in Charleston and recently was upset by Conchita Martinez at the Italian Masters.
