Lisa Ward

Born and bred in the Shetland Isles, Lisa moved to Glasgow aged 17 because she was fed up with small island life, but moved back after university. Alongside her boyfriend of seven years, Lisa is one of the lead vocalists in a band called Deathstar Canteen. The music scene is big in the Shetland Isles and her band Cyanide even supported Biffy Clyro when they performed there. Music is clearly in the blood as her great uncle Thomas Fraser is hugely popular for his records in Nashville.

Celebrity resemblance: “Emma Watson.”

Most embarrassing moment: “I once bought a bunch of ‘adult’ items to give to my friend to embarrass her on her 18th birthday, but I forgot to give them to her and completely forgot they were even in my handbag. I then went through airport security with them the next morning. There was no recovering from that.”

Tell us a secret that no one else knows: “I spent an inordinate amount of time pretending to be a mermaid when I was a child”.

Celebrity impressions: “I can do a stupid Shakira impression, a little bit of Courtney Love, and a terrible Billie Joe Armstrong. Now and again I might break out my Phil Anselmo”

Phobias: “Moths, butterflies, any kind of bug, crabs, lobsters. Basically, any animal that doesn’t have a recognisable face.”
