Get to know Kim

When she was only 17, Kim sang in front of Gary Barlow, who gave her some amazing feedback. Kim narrowly missed out on getting into S Club Juniors and The Saturdays, but soon after the latter audition, she won a competition to support The Saturdays and performed in front of 20,000 people at the Manchester MEN Arena. This was her proudest moment to date (we bet that was so much fun!). Kim recently gave up her full-time office job to concentrate on singing. Her family are very supportive and she counts her protective big brother as her best friend and biggest fan, awww!

Quick-fire with Kim

Celebrity resemblance: “I often get told I look like Abbey Clancy or Tara Reid, who starred in American Pie. I don’t see it but that’s what I get told”

Most embarrassing moment: “I fell over flat on my back in a restaurant on a first date. I explained to him that my shoes were new and were very slippery, haha!”

Daily motto: “‘Don’t worry be happy’ - my dad has always said this to me since I was little.”

Superstitions: “I can’t go around a lamp post without the person I am walking with coming around it the same way as me. LOL.”

Apparently, music can help create prize-winning veg, what song would you sing to your prize-winning marrow? “I would sing a happy little song to them. Hopefully the neighbours wouldn’t see me singing to my vegetables in the garden. They may think I have lost the plot. (No pun intended!)”

Party trick: “I can wiggle my ears. One moves a lot more than the other one though so I have to make sure that the person is stood on the ‘good side’, or they are pretty disappointed, haha!”
