Identical twins Shereen and Sophia live, work and sing together. They wear the same outfits when performing, but elsewhere they don’t because they like to be seen as individuals, not just twins.

The twins currently work as nursery nurses, but can’t fool the kids with impersonating the other one because the kids are able to tell the girls apart. They are the youngest of six and have grown up with a passion for music and a hugely supportive family. Their dad was a singer who motivated them, and their mum wants them to become successful because she wants a new kitchen! (Fair play Mrs DTwinz!)

Celebrity resemblance:(Shereen) “When I was younger people said Brandy, but lately three people have said Nicki Minaj.” (Sophia) “I have had a few, Kelly Rowland mainly... probably the slim face! Also, Lisa Lefteye Lopes and Jamelia.”

Describe your personality in three words:(Sophia) “Direct, bubbly, loving.” (Shereen) “Old-head, motherly, goofy.”

Best prank you have pulled on your family or friends?(Shereen) “Acting like my twin (it works every time).” (Sophia) “Swapping identity with my twin (the things we have successfully got away with, that’s all I will say).”

Weirdest food you have eaten: (Sophia) “My first time washing rice, I used washing up liquid to wash it, it tasted ok to me.” (Shereen) “Aubergine! It is a horrible purple vegetable!”

Daily motto: (Shereen and Sophia together) “Fear is not an option.”

Most embarrassing moment:(Shereen) “I was going home and my sandal strap broke and I had to practically hop home. I was nearly in tears.” (Sophia) “OMG, this packed bus sat at the traffic lights to watch me get dragged around by the wind and a broken umbrella. It was so embarrassing.”
