Joyful Soundz

Duo Patrick and Simone are friends who met through church a number of years ago. They both sing as part of Patrick’s choir, which is also called Joyful Soundz. Partick and Simone are also both parents to four children each. They perform at wedding and events as much as possible and sometimes do instrumental duets with Patrick on the trumpet and Simone on the saxophone!

Celebrity impressions: (Patrick) “Yes, I can impersonate Sean Connery.” (Simone) "Not really, impressions were never really my thing."

Favourite unusual food combinations: (Patrick) “Jam and chicken.” (Simone) "When I was expecting my first baby I loved chocolate and crisps together."

What are you most proud of? (Patrick) “Seeing past students that I have taught achieving in life.” (Simone) "My kids. They make me laugh every day and I feel so blessed to have them."

Weirdest food you have ever eaten: (Patrick) "Oysters." (Simone) "Cow foot. It's a Jamaican favourite although not a favourite of mine."

What did you want to be when you were little? (Patrick) "An astronaut." (Simone) "Barbie."

Phobias: (Patrick) "Too many creepy crawlies in one place." (Simone) "Not that I can think of."
