Esmee, who hails from a small town in Holland, is not a newbie in the music business. When she was just 19 she was signed by Justin Timberlake and scored a top ten UK hit with her debut single Outta Here. She also featured on Chipmunk’s top 3 track Until You Were Gone. With over 138 million hits, Esmee is one of the original YouTube sensations. Whilst promoting her debut album, she appeared on Oprah Winfrey (we will definitely grill Esmee later to find out what she was like - fabulous I’m sure).

Daily motto: “Be who you want to be and not who others choose to see.”

When and where was your first public performance? “It was opening up for Justin Timberlake in 2007 in front of 150,000 people. I have never been so nervous in my life!”

Party trick: “I can stand on my head in a yoga pose.”

Tell us a secret that no one else knows: “I talk to myself in the mirror in the morning affirmation.”

Most embarrassing moment: “I was feeling really confident walking into a hotel and went straight into a glass door in front of loads of people.”

Best prank you have pulled on friends or family? “While I was on tour, me and my band pranked another artist. My bass player dressed up as me and came out doing his set pretending to be me.”
