Roisin Geraghty-McDonagh

Roisin has lived in Halifax all of her life. She lives with her two-year-old son just across the road from the family home where she grew up. She has a big family with three siblings and eight nieces. It was her nieces and her mum that encouraged her to apply for the show. Aside from The Voice, she has only ever performed on stage once, at a charity gig last May. Roisin told us she’s never had singing lessons or been in the school choir or plays because she didn’t have the confidence. Although apparently everyone on the estate knows she can sing, because they can hear her in her bedroom for a free concert!

Celebrity resemblance: “Lindsay Lohan.”

Celebrity impression: “I can impersonate Catherine Tate.”

Favourite unusual food combination? “Cheese, spring onion, marmite, crisps and chili sauce sandwich. Yummy!”

If money and reality were no object, what would you be doing right now? “I would definitely want to fly! Also I would be able to change into any form of being… I'd be a witch! A good witch.”

What are you most proud of? “My son!”
