Shieldinch’s resident GP Eve is direct, a great judge of character and pretty unorthodox.

Realising they were no longer in love with each other, she and her husband separated; a decision made easier by the fact their two sons were all grown up and had flown the nest. So, Eve came to Shieldinch to regain her independence and start a new life. Eve’s motives for this move weren’t entirely honest as she was tracing the daughter she had given up for adoption when she was a teenager.

Daughter Lou wasn’t exactly over the moon to discover the identity of her birth mother and their relationship has had its frosty moments. But Eve proved herself to Lou when she became embroiled in Lou’s undercover operation due to her unexpected friendship with Lenny Murdoch. When Eve was held at gunpoint, she helped Lou realise she had to get out of this messed up deal with her superior and go back to being a regular police offer.

Eve’s new life was disrupted when her son, Dylan, arrived looking for his mum after quitting medical school and determined to pursue his true passion of cooking. Eve was disappointed by Dylan’s decision but came round as she realised all she wants for her kids is for them to be happy in life. Eve’s house grew fuller still with the surprise arrival of her eldest son, Cameron, back from his travels around the world.

With her whole family around her, Eve’s new life seems to be working out for her. But just how long can that last?
