| Wednesday, 11 September, 2002, 21:26 GMT 22:26 UK Forest 4-0 Kidderminster There were no surprises at The City Ground as an impressive Nottingham Forest side marched into the second round of the Worthington Cup with victory over Kidderminster. Forest started the game with purpose and deservedly opened the scoring after 23 minutes. A pinpoint delivery from Eugen Bopp found Jack Lester who beat goalkeeper Stuart Brock to the cross and headed home from six yards. Worse was to follow for Ian Britton's men when Riccardo Scimeca, who had an inspired evening, doubled Forest's advantage just before the break. David Johnson crossed for the former Aston Villa defender who swept the ball into the back of the net from close range. Five minutes after the break the in-form Johnson eased the home side into an unassailable position with a fine header and a Lester penalty after 71 minutes capped off a superb performance as Paul Hart's men cruised into the next round.
