| Tuesday, 10 September, 2002, 20:53 GMT 21:53 UK Robins rout Norwich Norwich were sent crashing out of the Worthington Cup in the first round as Cheltenham stormed to a 3-0 victory at Carrow Road. Two goals from Tony Naylor and a late Hugh McAuley strike gave the Division Two side an unexpected win. And the Canaries suffered their second home loss in four days following their defeat to Sheffield United. The visitors took a shock lead after Dane David Nielsen had missed two good early chances for Norwich. Naylor beat Rob Green from a tight angle to put the visitors ahead on the half hour and, after Iwan Roberts missed a header from close range, the veteran striker struck again. He fired the ball home from 18 yards just before half-time to put Norwich in deep trouble. Roberts and Alex Notman both went close as Norwich fought back after the break. But it was all over when McAuley curled home a superb shot eight minutes from time. Norwich: Green, Nedergaard, Kenton, Mackay, Drury, Notman, Mulryne, Holt, Easton, Roberts, Nielsen.
