Maraaya (Slovenia): 'Here For You'

Maraay are Marjetka and Raay who have combined their christian names to form their band name. They are a also married couple and the parents of two boys. Marjetka and Raay formed Maraaya last year, when they released their first single ‘Lovin' Me’ which was a big success in Slovenia.

Marjetka graduated at the Ljubljana Academy of Music, and now teaches vocals at her musical workshops. Raay is one of the most prolific music producers in Slovenia, and has been increasingly active abroad in recent years he holds the record for being the most played Slovene songwriter on annual airplay charts.
"What's with the headphones?" is the most common question asked of Maraaya. Marjetka started to use her studio headphones on stage in an attempt to evoke the same emotions she felt in the studio while recording. The headphones have now become their trademark.
