Ann Sophie (Germany): 'Black Smoke'
Writers: Michael Harwood, Ella McMahon, Tonino Speciale
24-year-old Ann Sophie won the German national final Unser Song für Österreich in a thrilling super final that made headlines worldwide. After three rounds of public televoting performer Andreas Kümmert won the public vote, however in dramatic scenes he declined the offer live on German TV. Luckily for Anne-Sophie she was second place and will represent her country with the song ‘Black Smoke’ in Vienna.

I feel very much related to the song, because of the very unusual German national finalAnn Sophie
Sophie was born in London, and raised in Hamburg. After finishing school, she moved to New York where she studied at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute during the day and in the evening sung at various live music clubs. After returning to Hamburg in 2013, Ann Sophie completed a self-produced demo album and soon Eurovision Song Contest fame beckoned.
