Monika Kuszyńska (Poland): 'In The Name Of Love'

Polish singer songwriter Monika Kuszyńska started her music career singing with Polish band Varius Manx in 2001. In 2006 the band were involved in a tragic car accident and Monika was left partially paralysed and needing a wheelchair. Due to her injuries she had to temporary end her singing career, but never gave up her dream to perform on stage again.

After several years focused on intensive rehabilitation Monika was able to finally return to singing. Her first album, ‘Ocalona' (‘Saved’) was released in 2012. In February 2013, Monika was awarded The Golden Cross Of Merit for both her artistic activities and charity work promoting disability sports, by the President of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski.
